CREATIVE REPRESENTATION OF A LITERARY TEXT

 

INTRODUCTION: WHAT IS LITERARY TEXT?

- It is a piece of writing, such as a book or poem, that has the purpose of telling a story or entertaining, in a fiction novel.

- The 21st century in literature refers to world literature produced during the 21st century.

 

1. BLOG

- A website containing informational articles about a person's own opinions, interests, and experiences.


 

2. MIND MAPPING

- Graphical technique to visualize connections of ideas and pieces of information.

- Writing down a central theme and thinking of new and related ideas which radiate out from the center.

 


3. TEXT TULA

- Modern way of mainstreaming traditional Pilipino poems by using text or mobile phone messaging.

- A poetry genre mastered by Frank Rivera.

- Composed of 7777 syllable count with rhyme aabb, abab, abba.

- Example of text tula: Tanaga

- A tanaga is a traditional poem that consists of four lines with seven syllables each.

LYRIC POEMS

- In addition, the mood of a lyric poem is melodic and emotional. The writer uses words that express his/her state of mind, perceptions, and feelings, rather than telling a story.

- Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?

- Thou art more lovely and more temperate.

2. RHYME

- Is the repetition of sound in different words.

- Can occur within lines or more usually at the end of lines.

- A rhyme scheme is a short formula for describing the pattern of rhyme in a poem. End words that rhyme are assigned the same letter.

- Visual stylized arrangement of words or tags within a textual content such as websites, articles, speeches and database

-Electronic device used to record, copy, playback and display moving visual media.

 

APPLYING ICT SKILLS IN INTERPRETING LITERARY TEXTS

 

- This refers to a stylized method represents the occurrence of words within a textual content such as websites, article, speeches, and databases.

- It is an electronic medium for recording, copying, replying, broadcasting, and displaying moving visual media.

- This is a website containing short articles called posts that are regularly.

- These are series of slides, often display on a large screen using a projector.

- It is a graphical technique to visualize connections of ideas and piece information.

- Have you read an anecdote?

- Have you ever retold a personal experience someone?

- How do you find recalling past experience?

 

ANECDOTE

 

- It is a short entertaining or interesting about a real incident or person.

- Tell about a variety of stories and takes, since they can be about any topic under the sun. It is a short story about a real person or event which usually intends to make listeners laugh or ponder over your topic.

LET’S EXPLORE SOME OF THE PURPOSE OF ANECDOTE:

 

- To bring cheer

 

- Stories popup anywhere and these are just sometimes making people laughing brighten their mood.

- At the dinner, a Grade 11 learner shared his story on his first day at school when he got lost and attended a wrong class.

- To reminisce

 

- People are talking about the experience in the past. They try to look back on moments in their lives and share the joy of that time with others.

- A mother tells her children a story about her life in the province when she was a teenager.

- To caution

 

- Sometimes, just giving rules for individuals is not effective. Sharing to them frightening stories of dangers can be helpful for them to realize the possible consequences of their actions.

- Before the beginning of a lecture on not following traffic rules, a father tells his son an incident of collision that caused many lives due to ignoring traffic signs.

- T0 PERSUADE/INSPIRE

 

- Sometimes, people share stories on how they surpassed their struggles in life. These, most of the time, give encouragement to others who have been in similar situations. The message usually conveys successes in life as a fruit of hard work.

- Before beginning a remedial class, the teacher tells the students how a boy who used to struggle in reading managed to be a proficient reader.
